Learn how to connect and manage your Microsoft account to enable data exports to Excel files in OneDrive with CountingKit.
Connecting your Microsoft account allows you to export data from various sources directly to Excel files stored in your OneDrive. This integration enables you to:
Follow these steps to connect your Microsoft account:
From your dashboard, go to the "Connections" section and select "Microsoft Excel" or click the "Connect" button if you haven't connected any accounts yet.
Click the "Connect with Microsoft" button to start the authorization process.

You'll be redirected to Microsoft's authentication page. Sign in with the Microsoft account you want to connect. This works with both personal Microsoft accounts and work/school accounts.
Review the permissions requested and click "Accept" to grant access to your Microsoft account.
We request permissions to read and write files in your OneDrive so we can create and update Excel files for your data exports.
After successful authentication, you'll be redirected back to the platform with your Microsoft account now connected.
CountingKit supports both types of Microsoft accounts:
Personal accounts (e.g., @outlook.com, @hotmail.com, @live.com) are fully supported. You can use these to store Excel files in your personal OneDrive.
Business and educational accounts (e.g., @company.com, @school.edu) are also supported. These accounts use your organization's OneDrive for Business.
The Microsoft Integration dashboard provides an overview of your connected account and allows you to manage Excel files.

If you're unable to access or create Excel files, you may need to grant additional permissions. The connection process should request all necessary permissions automatically.
If you're having trouble connecting a work/school account:
If you need to disconnect your Microsoft account:
Disconnecting your Microsoft account will delete all connected Excel files from your account and any configured exporters using Excel destinations. This action cannot be undone.
